Kenya Safari

Departing from Atlanta, Georgia on May 4, 2009

Returning to Atlanta, Georgia on May 14, 2009

Kenya is a wildlife wonderland boasting some of the greatest wildlife viewing in the world. Samburu is home to the rare Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and the elegant Beisa Oryx. Of course, you'll also find Lion, Elephant and we'll seek the elusive Leopard and Cheetah. Our camps and lodges are located close to the best game areas. Expansive plains and vaulting mountains lush with foliage will beckon you on to further exploration.

We'll visit the Samburu people who are one of the few culturally authentic ethnic groups in Africa. You may see Samburu warriors walking through the bush along the river with barely more than a stick or small spear for protection. These immensely proud people are both charming and colorful. Their ancient ways, shared by the Masai, remain a mystery. We'll venture to the land of the Masai - nomadic pastoralist people who believe that they are custodians of all cattle in the world. The Masai follow the rains to good grazing to nourish their cattle and enjoy the seasonal bounty of the region.
